Western Sydney Wanderers
To celebrate the of the Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club, an end-of-season Medal Night was held at the WatervieW venue in Bicentennial Park, Sydney Olympic Park. Engaged as technical producer for the night, Impact AV was in the driving seat to help create a highly memorable evening, not only for the Premier Plate-winning A-League club, but for the attending fans, corporate partners, the Football Federation Australia Chief and NSW Minister for Sport.
Despite an incredibly compressed preparation timeframe, Impact AV put to use its vast experience to bring together all the vital elements into one seamless, exciting production.
Our lighting specialist gave the room a great Western Sydney Wanderers look and feel, tapping creatively into the in-house special effects and playing to the Club’s distinct red and black colours.
Working to an extremely tight deadline, we corralled no fewer than 14 videos, embedding them into a complete slide deck to create a full awards ceremony presentation. Following the live show-call from two directors, we mixed three cameras to screen while running the slides and videos, all the while keeping in mind the shots were not only going live to screen but also being recorded as artistic archival footage for a montage reel.
Flowing on from the high-paced awards presentation, we provided technical support for a secondary stage with Australian music artist, Shannon Noll, as the special entertainment.
Around 450 guests enjoyed a truly professional and smooth-flowing celebration. The performance of our technical team completely disguised the fact we had worked under pressure right up until just a few hours before the event knitting together the final pieces of the ceremony. The evening capped off the fairytale performance of this brand new A-League soccer team.
