Faon and John’s Wedding

The Brief

Faon and John wanted to create an exciting and sumptuous floral and wooded look for their wedding.

They choose the Botanic Gardens to host their ceremony. This location was chosen for the stunning backdrop of the iconic Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The couple then held their reception at Darling Harbour’s beautiful Dockside venue.

The Approach

Faon and John worked closely with Impact AV Australia to create an amazing visual experience. At the Botanical Gardens, Impact AV set up the video cameras for the couple’s live stream to include the Gardens and the Harbour. The ceremony was live streamed to the world to include the couple’s extended families in the USA, South Africa, Scotland, England, and Australia that could not make it to the wedding.

At the reception, Impact AV Australia transformed the room into another botanical theme. The venue’s columns were lit up with a special lighting effect that transformed them into trees and branches. The lighting display also included a programme of various room effects for the evening to generate the couple’s desired atmosphere and mood for each unique part of the reception. These programmed looks especially highlighting the hanging floral arrangements over the dance floor, and giving the dancefloor a beautiful unique lighting pattern enhancing the botanical feel.

The couple wanted the night to be filled with dancing. Impact AV Australia provided a total dancefloor disco lighting setup, along with a fantastic sound system, that got everyone up on the dancefloor.

The Results

On the night Impact AV, the guests, fellow suppliers and staff were all extremely excited about the outcome.  Everything went off perfectly, and having an Impact AV operator there, he was able to make some slight adjustments when required.

John told the Impact AV Australia staff, “It was a beautiful night, perfect!” and “Impact AV Australia ticked every box, they got our look just right, and the speeches and dancing were excellent!”
